As we transition into 2025, it's a good time to reflect on where God's victory has been displayed throughout this year.

Our home church missionary team has just returned from an extraordinary trip to Kenya, where we joined in on local crusades, witnessing to villagers in the marketplaces. We also participated in church conferences where we served in Sunday school and small group teachings, and helped with the funding and construction of a new village well.

There was a lot of followship, a lot of activity and serving, but where I most felt the presence of the Lord was during the worship. The people of Kenya celebrate God like nothing I've ever seen.

Worship in Kenya is full of energy. Dancing, singing, hugging, shouting, conga lines, palm branches, and every joyful noise you can probably imagine. Many of these people live in poverty, and there are clouds of deep spiritual darkness all over Africa as many areas are still plagued by witchcraft and demonic activity - but even with the surrounding darkness, these wonderful people celebrate as King David celebrated at the return of the ark of the covenant: They dance for the Lord with all their might.

This is God's victory. In the midst of so many troubles in the world, His people still celebrate His eternal triumph over evil. I think of this past year of growth, in my personal walk with Jesus and in the growth of this ministry, and I see the Victorious One shining through all the trials and tribulations. He's brought me farther than I would have ever imagined, and in seeing the work He's already accomplished I am confident that the best is yet to come. Through all the challenges I thought would be impossible to overcome, He has been a faithful shepherd.

Where do you see God's victory in this year?
